Application steps
Keshun Aquacoat KS-929C – 5 steps
- Substrate: cured, sound concrete, free of oil and dust; repair cracks and honeycombs.
- Apply Keshun FL1101 epoxy primer.
- Stir gently and evenly with a mixer to limit air entrainment; use within 30 minutes.
- Apply the first coat in one direction; let dry 6–12 hours.
- Apply the second coat at right angles to the first; allow 24 hours to cure.
Notes: Not for drinking-water or food-contact tanks. Exposed surfaces: protect with a Keshun Aquacoat 680 top coat.

Frequently asked questions
How much polyurethane does a roof slab take per m²?
VNA's standard detail drawings specify Keshun FL1101 epoxy primer at 0.2 kg/m² and Keshun Aquacoat KS-929C at 1.4 kg/m² in 2 coats. The KS-929C data sheet states 1.6–1.8 kg/m² per 1 mm film; actual consumption depends on the substrate.
Can a polyurethane membrane be left exposed?
Standard PU membranes need a UV-resistant top coat or a protection layer when exposed. Keshun Aquacoat 680 is a weathering-grade PU used directly on exposed surfaces such as concrete roofs, metal roofs and terraces.
Polyurethane or polyurea for roofs and terraces?
Both form seamless, elastic liquid-applied membranes. Single-component polyurethane is applied by trowel, squeegee or roller and suits most roofs, balconies and bathrooms. Hot-spray two-component polyurea cures very fast with high strength, suiting large areas and early return to service; it needs dedicated spray equipment.
