Applications
- Cleaning rust off rebar before concreting
- Protecting starter bars and stored rebar on site
Advantages
- Cleans rust up to grade C (thin flaking rust) per TCXDVN 334:2005
- Does not corrode the reinforcement
- No adverse effect on bond between rebar and concrete
- Protects steel for 6 months in normal environments, 1 month in marine and industrial environments
Application steps
- Blow off dust and oil and dry the steel; heavily rusted bars: remove loose scale with a hand grinder first.
- Brush or spray BM-05 onto the steel; repeat within 20–30 minutes depending on rust grade.
- Work in dry conditions; keep the steel away from water until the product is fully dry.
