Each part of a building faces different water exposure, so no single waterproofing material suits every location. Basement base slabs and single-sided walls under permanent groundwater pressure call for pre-applied sheet membranes such as HDPE or TPO that bond fully to the structural concrete. Roof slabs, terraces, balconies and bathrooms suit seamless liquid-applied membranes such as polyurethane (PU) or polyurea. Water tanks, lift pits and diaphragm walls typically use polymer-modified cementitious and crystalline materials.
VNA distributes Keshun and Buildmix waterproofing materials and supports contractors with system build-ups, material submittal dossiers and on-site application guidance.

Which materials should be used to waterproof a basement?
Base slabs and single-sided basement walls are usually waterproofed with pre-applied sheet membranes (HDPE or TPO), because the membrane bonds fully to the concrete cast against it and prevents lateral water migration between membrane and structure. Construction joints are additionally sealed with PVC waterstops.
Polyurethane or polyurea for roof slabs and terraces?
Both form seamless, elastic liquid-applied membranes. Single-component polyurethane is applied by trowel, squeegee or roller and suits most roofs, balconies and bathrooms. Hot-spray two-component polyurea cures very fast with high strength, suiting large areas and works that must return to service quickly; it requires dedicated spray equipment.
Does VNA support material submittal dossiers?
Yes. VNA provides technical data sheets (TDS), test reports and assists in preparing material submittal dossiers for owners and supervision consultants as the project requires.
Need waterproofing advice for your project?
VNA helps select materials, prepares submittal dossiers and guides application on site.
