Grout lines are the first place a tiled floor or wall picks up dirt and mould. Two-component epoxy grout cures into a dense, practically non-absorbent joint, so it resists staining and mould and cleans far more easily than cementitious grout.
Demex grout comes in twin cartridges; the two components self-mix at the correct ratio through the nozzle as they are dispensed — no weighing or batching. The Epoxy Tile Grouts line gives a gloss finish; the Epoxy Sand Grouts line gives a sand-matt finish to match matt and textured tiles.
Frequently asked questions
How many square metres does one set of epoxy grout cover?
One 400 g set of Demex Epoxy Tile Grouts covers about 11.5 m² of 60×60 cm tiles with 1 mm joints (3–5 mm deep); about 14 m² of 80×80 cm tiles and about 18 m² of 100×100 cm tiles. Wider joints reduce coverage accordingly.
How should the joints be prepared for epoxy grouting?
Joints must be clean, dry and at least 3 mm deep. At the start, dispense and discard the first bead so both components are fully mixed before grouting.
When is excess grout cleaned off?
Wait 3–5 hours for the grout surface to set, then scrape the excess off both sides of the joint with a blade.
